At a young age, Dawn Ford had a dream that was so real it spurred a story inside her head. From that time on Dawn visualized stories in everything she did and saw. Stories are an integral part of her life, so it was no surprise that she grew up to become a writer. She won the 2016 Genesis award for the best unpublished entry in the Speculative genre for her fantasy novel which was published under the title, The Girl With Stars in Her Eyes with Scrivenings Press.
Her middle-grade debut novel, Woodencloak, was published through ScrivKids and is a four book series title The Band of Unlikely Heroes and is about a smallish troll princess who has to overcome her many shortcomings to be courageous and grow into a brave warrior.
Dawn has served as Operations Manager at Splickety Publishing Group where she’s had two of her flash fiction pieces published in their Havok magazine. Her passions are her faith, family, shoes, purses, things that sparkle, and anything Steampunk.
