Things come easily to Tambrynn—literally. Objects move at her command, but trouble always follows, and Tambrynn’s convinced this ability is nothing more than a curse.
As a servant girl in the dark kingdom of Terra Vale, Tambrynn suffers at the hands of her employers. She dreams of the freedom her sixteenth birthday promises when her Jubilee releases her from years of servitude.
When Tambrynn’s employer turns her out during a snowstorm, the carriage taking her away crashes in the forest, and she must find safety in a blinding storm. She discovers an abandoned cottage. With freedom at her fingertips, she sets up house. But the joy is short lived when a shape-shifting man breaks in to warn her wolves are hunting her down.
The truth isn’t always what it seems. Danger wears many faces, and Tambrynn must discover who she can trust with her life. Especially when the wolves who killed her mother are getting closer, and a strange courier knocks on her door.
Can she trust her instincts about the shape-shifter enough to travel across kingdoms to her home in Anavrin to face down an evil king who tortures people with abilities like Tambrynn? Is she strong enough to turn her curse into the blessing it was meant to be and bring an end to the king’s evil reign?
