It’s been a while since I last blogged. Last year was a busy one with two books published and writing two more. My youngest son graduated college and moved back home, which isn’t easy when he’s bringing a house full of stuff with him. This year is busy as well, having two more books published and writing two more in between. Add to that several rounds of editing and marketing.
It’s a lot.
So, blogging has fallen to the side. My apologies. I hope to bring some more content that might be interesting and share a few things that I’ve been up to.
Last November, I went on a family cruise, rooming with my niece. Several cousins on my husband’s mother’s side all got together for some monumental birthdays and one wedding on a Carnival cruise. I had a lovely time until the last day when our seemingly perfect ride grew rough from some choppy waves in the middle of the ocean. I’ve never been so seasick in my life. We got an ocean view room, which was so worth it no matter what. Here’s a couple of photos I got while cruising.
The week after I got off the cruise, I ended up with a virus that kept me bed-ridden for several days. I guess it’s to be expected, getting sick after you travel. I’ve been so lucky in the past not to catch anything. It took me a couple of weeks to get over that and as soon as I recovered, I caught a nasty cold. Then the new year came and went. I’m only just now catching my breath.
So, you can see that I’ve been more or less occupied with things either good or bad that have taken the majority of my attention.
Now that I’m on the mend and in the middle of writing book three of my Middle-Grade Band of Unlikely Heroes story, I’m also craving Spring when I get bitten by the crafting bug. I’ve set up a craft day with my nieces and some family friends to happen at the beginning of March. I’ve been hoarding, ahem, gathering supplies for a suncatcher. I’ll post those pictures when we finish our projects, but here are some pictures of two photo frames I’m going to use with chicken wire for my own vintage suncatchers. The pictures don’t do them justice. They turned out lovely, though I’m not completely finished preparing them for our craft day. I have to clear coat them and then add the chicken wire to the back. I’m going to add colorful beads with wire to the chicken wire.
That’s about it for me. Are you crafty? What is one craft you love to work on?
