Hello, all! I pray you are all doing well so far this Spring. It is Spring, isn’t it? I’m not sure if Mother Nature has made up her mind yet. This week is windy, and rainy, and BLAH. It’s worse because my glasses broke right at my nosepiece. There’s never a good time for this, but I’m trying to be diligent in my writing schedule, and having to go to the city from my small town to get a new pair isn’t what I wanted to deal with this week.
The good news is there’s only one week left before The Girl with Stars in Her Eyes is released! Can you believe how time flies? It was over twelve years ago when I first started writing this book. There were several false starts and delays. I finally got the combination right and here we are, right on the precipice of letting the world see the strangeness that lives inside my head. I already have some book signings set up and a book launch for some of my local friends and family to come help me celebrate.
For an update, I’ve been working on book two in the Firebird series, and I’m having a lot of fun digging into the new kingdom of Anavrin. You never know what you’re going to find there. There’s going to be definite peril, and lots of hijinks that you will grow to love from the first book. I’ve been trying not to be too spammy on my social media pages, but I am just dying to get book one in your hands so you will know what I’m talking about.
See you next Tuesday when the book is live on Amazon. Until then, may the sun shine on your little spot in the world.
Much love, Dawn
